ABOUT THE WORK
Music is the throughline that connects all these pieces. Be they new bands I discovered during quarantine, or old favourites dropping new albums, the overwhelmingly positive response from creative communities continues to inspire during these troubled times. Music has always been important to me, and many characters can trace their origins to a particular tune that got me through a dark patch. I draw bright, colourful pieces in hopes of bringing just a little light to people's days.
REFLECTION
The situation around the world continues to affect everyone profoundly. I deal with hardship by providing a comedic spin on life through my own experiences, or those of my characters. I hope to provide safe spaces where others might find much-needed laughter and enjoy a brief escape. People's willingness to support each other despite social and financial difficulties continues to astound me, and reminds me everyday why what I do is important, and why I continue to share my art.
